IMPORTANT FLIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR JULY 2026

July 2026 – FCA Runway Rehabilitation Project

Please be aware that major runway construction will take place at Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) throughout July 2026.

Airport Operating Schedule (July Only):

Open: Friday at 10:00 a.m. through Monday at 6:00 p.m.
Closed: Monday Evenings at 6:00 p.m. through Friday Mornings at 10:00 a.m.
Operational Days: Flights can still take off and land Friday afternoons through Monday evenings. 
Alternatives: Consider flying into Missoula (MSO - 2 hrs south) or Great Falls (GTF - 4 hrs southeast). or take Amtrak’s Empire Builder to Whitefish and rent a car.

Closure Dates:

• July 6–10
• July 13–17
• July 20–24
• July 27–31

Please note: Runway 12-30 (designated for small aircraft) will remain open throughout the project except July 27–31, when it will also be closed.
We recommend confirming your flight schedule with your airline prior to travel.
During closure periods, construction crews will be working 24 hours a day to keep the project on schedule. 


The project is necessary for runway safety and is scheduled during July to utilize the best weather window for construction.
