Amenities
This village has several year round amenities to make your stay extra special. Located in the lower part of the village, The Pool House provides fun for families year round and is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Inside you will find bathrooms, showers and changing rooms that lead out to the Indoor Saltwater Pool and Sauna. Outside, a ten-person Hot Tub is located on the heated back patio. The temperature is maintained between 100 - 104°F (37.5-40°C) and not advised for pregnant women or children under five. Note - Lifeguards are not on duty.
Saunas and Hot Tubs are known to be heart-healthy similar to moderate-intensity exercise. Sweating provides detoxification which reduces inflammation. Regular sessions can lower stress, promote muscle recovery after exercise and improve sleep quality.
Summer Fun!
During the summer months, our Village comes alive with visitors and activities. The Outdoor Pool opens after Memorial Day, and is located at the upper end of the Village. Picnic tables, grills and views of Whitefish Lake provide exquisite al fresco dining opportunities. From there, follow the Black Bear Trail down to our stocked Fishing Pond with a dock to teach those kiddos how to cast and reel.
Adjacent to the pool house is a children's playground and two Tennis Courts also used for Pickleball. Don't worry, our office rents rackets, paddles and fishing gear as well as bear spray for any walks around the village or hikes in Glacier National Parks.
Whitefish Lake Access. Down Big Mountain Road on the east shore of Whitefish Lake is access for Ptarmigan Village owners and their guests. Our dock provides a spot to sun, swim or launch your kayak or paddleboard.

Winter Wonderland
Visitors to Ptarmigan Village also benefit from The Whitefish Trail, a 47-mile system for snowshoeing, hiking, running and biking with stunning views of the valley.
The S.N.O.W. Bus — a service of the Big Mountain Commercial Association — provides free trips between Whitefish Mountain Resort and downtown Whitefish every day of the winter and summer operating seasons. It does not stop inside of Ptarmigan Village, but can be useful during your stay in Whitefish.
