Arriving By Air
Glacier Park International Airport, airport code FCA, is about 12 miles and 20 minutes from Ptarmigan Village.
Rental Cars are available onsite. Uber and Lyft are also options for transportation.
Direct flights from several major cities, including Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Portland, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle.
Runway Rehabilitation will disrupt travel in July 2026.
Major runways will be closed in July, except on weekends.
FCA will be open for flights Friday at 10 a.m. to Monday at 6:00 p.m. only.
Runway 12-30 designated for small aircraft runway will remain open except from July 27th - 31st.
Crews will work 24 hours a day to complete construction on schedule.
Driving Directions from the Airport
From FCA, Exit the airport and turn left onto Highway 2 North.
After 4.5 miles, turn left onto Highway 40 West.
After 4.5 miles, turn right onto Highway 93 North toward Whitefish.
After 2.2 miles, take a left on Second Ave.
After two blocks, take a right on Baker (MT487).
For 2.2 miles, continue toward Whitefish Mountain Resort / Big Mountain.
At the flashing yellow light, turn right onto Big Mountain Road.
For 2.9 miles, continue up the windy road and look for the “Ptarmigan Village” sign.
Take a right into the community.
